This exam is a collection of concepts from
the Server (215), Network Infrastructure (216), and Directory Services
(217) exams. Remember, the point to this exam was to put all of the
Windows 2000 network support skills under the umbrella of one exam to
create the MCSA certification. While not as detailed in conceptual knowledge
as the 216 and 217 exams, this exam gathers concepts from all areas.
There is no substitute for
practical experience. You should involve a Windows 2000 server as part of
your study process. Kick the tires and take it for a spin. The Sybex books have an excellent set of hands-on exercises
that will prove invaluable for this exam. Combine these hands-on exercises
with test prep software, so you have advance knowledge of test questions
and concepts, and you should have no trouble with this test.
This is a pretty strait-forward exam if you
have studied and practiced. There's no trick questions, though some will
make you think.
