For A+ Certification, you will need to
pass two exams about computer systems: One on Operating Systems, and
one on Core Hardware. These are not difficult exams. The questions are
very straight-forward, and conceptually based. If you know the
material well, you will pass the exam.
The A+ exams have been overhauled a few
times over the years, the most recent change in November of 2003. This
keeps the exams up to date with changing technologies.
Most people who fail this exam do so
because they did not know what to study, or they were not familiar with
the nature of these exams. Study for each exam in turn, practice, and
test; then do the same for the second exam. While there is no longer a
time limit between tests, you should take the two tests within a month
of each other.
Read EVERYTHING on this site about these
exam. The Study guides cover all of the material that you need to know for
the exam. If you don't understand a concept in the study guide, research
and practice. You will understand concepts best if you sit down at a
Windows 2000 Professional computer and work with the technology.
Once you know the material, don't delay.
