Your Career Job Searching Your Resume The Interview Other Advice Essential Tools

Resume Building:
Your resume is your advertisement. Don't screw it up! A good resume and cover letter takes effort and research. If you have a canned resume and a cover letter that says (insert company name here), then you are killing your chances of getting the job. If you want a potential employer to take you seriously, then you need to show that you take them seriously.

I've been involved in job searching as well as hiring employees. When some HR manager or IT manager is flipping through 50 resumes to find the five people that they may interview, you want your resume to tell them that it would be a mistake to skip you.

A good start is Smart Job Guides .com. They have a wealth of information from Resume building, resume samples, interview questions, salary negotiation, cover letters, dealing with recruiters, and much more. You have to register, but the information you find here can easily earn you $5,000 or $10,000 more a year!

EssayEdge: Free Admissions Essay Help Course At this site, www.essayedge.com the New York Times has called EssayEdge "the world's premier application essay editing service" and ResumeEdge powers the resume services of The Wall Street Journal and SallieMae. They have Harvard grads working on your resume to create or edit the best possible resume solution for you!

If you want nothing to go to chance, a Professional Resume service is a great investment. E-resume.net is reasonable and effective. Check out the samples that they have on-line. Even if you don't sign up, you'll see what your resume may be compared to in the marketplace.
